The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) has a very large hydroelectric potential and considerable mineral resources (copper, diamond, cobalt, gold, zinc), a large country crossed by the Congo River, Coltan, etc.). The recovery of the mining sector is currently underway, favored by the surge in mineral prices. On the banks of the Congo River, Kinshasa the capital, faces Brazzaville in the Republic of Congo.

On February 11, 2010, the DRC issued the law on the country’s accession to the Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa (OHADA), making the DRC the 17th member country of the organization.
